Bio: Hi, The Helpful Engineer also goes by the name of Arthur Shirran. I live in Sallins, County Kildare, Ireland with my wife and our two boys. I have 14 years post graduation experience working as an engineer. I work in Dublin City Centre for a leading Structural Engineering practice. Over my career so far I have experienced most sides of the construction industry from domestic construction through commercial to public, on new and old buildings.
I started this blog to help advise people on issues related to construction. I have found that people trying to research topics can often receive conflicting or incorrect advice. This will be an unbiased blog and if you enjoy it or find it of use please pass on a link to your friends.
